EasySplit Privacy Policy

Overview

EasySplit ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data Collection

EasySplit collects and processes the following data:

• Expense data: Group names, member names, expense descriptions, and amounts that you enter into the app. This data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
• Text input: When you type an expense in natural language, the text is sent to Google's Gemini API for parsing into structured data. No personal identifiers are included in these requests.

Data Storage

All your expense data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Your data remains on your iPhone and is included in your iCloud backups if you have iCloud enabled.

Third-Party Services

• Google Gemini API: Used to parse natural language expense input into structured data. Only the text of your expense message is sent. Google's privacy policy applies to their processing.
• Frankfurter API (European Central Bank): Used to fetch current exchange rates for currency conversion. No personal data is sent.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time by deleting expense groups within the app or by uninstalling the app from your device.

Children's Privacy

EasySplit does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
